3rd Get-together: Connect 2.0
Wow, our 3rd Get-together has just happened on Friday 27th November, 6p.m at room 301, gymnastic building. To those who joined us, do you still remember how amazing the show is? Fifteen guests, who come from not only FTU but also other universities like NEU or FPT, together with EC members, contributed their enthusiasm, stories and fantastic ideas to make 3rd G2T a fantastic one. To the rest, let’s follow the memories of some attendances to see how EC brings them a wonderful Friday night.
Here is EC’s own fabulous MC: Ms Minh Hanh, won the Third Prize in Front the most 2009. The way she talks attracts people as well as gets them really involved
To create a warm and friendly atmosphere, a game named “Continuing the sequence” was first held. One sentence was given by the MC and then each member, in turn, had to continue with a relevant one. We all laughed out loud as after turning a round, the sentence changed from “This morning I go to school” to “I was sent to the prison”
Later on it, we started with the second piece “Discussion”, in which the topic is “Why does online networking attract so many people?” . The audience seems to be over-excited while raising their ideas; therefore, even when time’s up, they feel regret as a bunch of ideas were still ready to be shared. What we treasure most is the specific comments from Advisor Board, three EC members who must have worked very hard to notice the strength and weakness of each speaker. “Advisor Board is as helpful as our teachers. And I will never miss any English lessons if they are as interesting as this show” – a girl from Batch 48 shared.
As we know, people are connected in several ways, one of which was demonstrated in the second game, an amazingly funny part. Three teams standing in queues used rubber bands to transport as much tubes as possible. Team 2 got the first prize and also got their “bim bim” as presents, since they found out the key: “The more tubes are transported in each turn, the better the result is”.
Finally, everyone enjoyed the delicious dessert: “Debate”. A humorous clip played by EC members received big applause from the audience, and 3 tips for Debate drawn from it surprised all. One by one, each team prove their opinion about a controversial topic “Does Facebook social network really connect people together?” with strong and persuasive arguments. Till the last minutes, everyone felt excited. Although it was late, guest stayed and shared their opinions to make series G2T even greater. Thanks for our dear visitors!
