Get Together 2nd – MAKE YOUR CHOICE
“Today I’ve learnt something beyond debating skills”- one visitor shared after attending this week’s Get Together. Let’s have a look back at a show that had brought visitors both relaxing and meaningful moments here.
November 13th, the second Get Together – “Make your choice” took place in A101. From the enthusiastic freshmen who’ve just begun the university life to the two lovely foreign guests who’ve already graduated, all were welcomed to the show to share their opinions on some issues in students’ life.
To warm up the atmosphere, our friendly MC – Ms. Thao asked all the guests to join the game “Extreme Synonyms”. Just look at those pictures to feel the excitement of guests when getting to know the meaning of such strange words like accede, veer, propound,…
Right after the icebreaking game, the show began, following the little story of Little Pea – a typical student in 3 different situations when a choice must be made. These very funny videos really turned the audience on, eager to raise their opinions on the follow-up discussions. Go volunteer or stay home study? The first discussion saw some interesting opinions: “Doing volunteer work is a good way to keep yourself from sleeping too much!” – a boy said.
The show went on, after everyone burst into laughter when seeing little Pea in a relationship with a girl. This romantic love story led to a debate among the guests about love in university. People were divided into 2 sides; one went for love and one totally against. The topic was so fascinating that despite a time limit for each speaking turn, most people totally forgot about the time, just went on and on speaking even after their time was up!
The heat of the debate was brought down a little bit with a small break. To continue, the guests joined another discussion on the topic of studying abroad. Thanks to the 2 foreigners’ sharing their own experiences, everybody knew more about the differences between studying in Vietnam and abroad.
Although all the guests still wanted to discuss more, any show had to come to an end. Back to Little Pea, he had made his choice, another one in the succession of choices throughout the course of his life.
Finally, MC Thao gave out a meaningful message: There are moments in everyone’s life, moments where choices must be made, moments that will define you, shape you, and change you. But please don’t be afraid, just need to listen to the voice within and go ahead “MAKE YOUR CHOICE”! That’s what life is meant to be for all of us.
