As mentioned in our second newsletter, an ESL testing system was being implemented on our website ec-ftu.org; and now we gladly announce that the system has gone officially public !

NOTE:

• If you can not hear any sound while taking listening tests, you might try installing QuickTime Alternative first. Of course, you have to TURN ON THE SOUND !!!
• If you are using Internet Explorer, we strongly recommend you to switch to Firefox so you will not have any problem while taking the tests.

IMPORTANT: Trước khi làm một test có ghi là TIMED thì các bạn nên dành đủ thời gian để làm, vì không thể close xong làm tiếp được. Tuy nhiên nếu chót start một test thì các bạn có thể close rồi làm test khác, như thế sẽ reset thời gian của test trước test đó.

What do we got?

Currently we have added a lot of comprehensive TOEIC and TOEFL iBT practice tests to our system. For the TOEIC test, we got both reading test and listening test for you to take; while for the TOEFL test, we can only provide reading and listening test due to its nature. All the tests are fun to take, and carefully chosen! Obviously, you can not rely on this system to get a high score in any test, but our aim is to provide a community for you to take part in, and also help you get familiar with popular ESL tests!

What do you got?

All registered users on ec-ftu.org are eligible to take the tests. Your username and password stay the same for this system.

You can:

1. Take any tests that are marked as available.
2. Review all the tests you have done, by clicking on "Result Overview" on the navigation bar, i.e. [link]
3. Report any bugs, typos, inquiries or just your thought on the system in this forum: [link]
4. Discuss the tests, the questions right in this forum: [link] . Remember to include a question's number and a test id within your topic, too.
5. Request for a redo if you unintentionally do something wrong while taking the test in this forum: [link]
   The name of your requesting topic should be: Redo - Test ID

What do you need to know?

1. To take a test, either click on its name or click on the word Test on the same row.
2. To filter(a.k.a choose a type of test) you could click on "Select a filter" then choose the type of test you want, it can be TOEIC, TOEFL, etc.
3. Most, if not all, of the tests are one-way tickets, i.e. you can only take them once. However, if you take untimed tests, you can always close the window and continue your work later.
4. You are awarded with ESL points for every correct question you make, and guess what? If you are in the first place or the second place in terms of ESL point for a specific month, you shall also be awarded with the title "ESL King" for the first place and "English Expert" for the second one(the duration is one month ).

Upcoming:

• A simple testing system that allow you to daily review your vocabulary as well as answer fun questions, and of course, gain more ESL points!
